Immunohistochemical staining of BOULE in testis tissue sections counterstained with haematoxylin. No discrimination between BOULE 1, 2 and 3 was possible. BOULE is expressed in the cytoplasm of spermatocytes in patients with complete spermatogenesis (arrows) (A) and is completely lacking from spermatocytes in testes with meiotic arrest (MA) (arrowheads) (B) and Sertoli cell only (C).
