About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover design  Prematurely condensed second polar body chromosomes. The cover of Molecular Human Reproduction shows the karyotype of the second polar body from a human oocyte. Metaphase chromosomes were obtained by injecting the second polar body nucleus into an enucleated oocyte which is activated then treated with okadaic acid to induce premature chromosome condensation. This technique may be used for the diagnosis of maternal translocations. For further details, see 89-95.
