Cover design Prematurely condensed second polar body chromosomes. The cover of Molecular Human Reproduction shows the karyotype of the second polar body from a human oocyte. Metaphase chromosomes were obtained by injecting the second polar body nucleus into an enucleated oocyte which is activated then treated with okadaic acid to induce premature chromosome condensation.
