Cover design Calcium influx in uterine epithelial cells triggered by contact with trophoblast-like cells. The cover of Molecular Human Reproduction shows that the movement of a spheroid of trophoblast-like cells across a monolayer of uterine epithelial cells (shown in first panel) causes a rise in their intracellular calcium concentration. The study presented on pages 1119-1130 showed that two different types of calcium channels are involved in the initiation and establishment of trophoblast adhesion to uterine epithelial cells. For further details, please see 1119-1130.
