Cover design The front cover of Molecular Human Reproduction shows the microinjection of confluent cultures of myometrial cells with the gap junction permeant tracer, Cascade Blue (insert). After exposure of the cells to oestriol (E3) for 90 min, clusters of cells filled rapidly with the microinjected dye (main picture). Increased cell-cell communication in the myometrium by elevated E3 concentrations may be involved in the initiation of labour. For further details, please see 671-679.
