Cover design The front cover of Molecular Human Reproduction shows a cDNA microarray analysis for the detection of genes differentially expressed between early gestational decidua and chorionic villi. Among numerous genes identified, cathepsin L (circled, upper figure) was found to be highly expressed in decidua compared to villi, while the LIF receptor and keratin 8 (circled, lower figure) were found to be highly expressed in chorionic villi compared to decidua.
